Many thanks to Sarah James our web adviser for setting this up for us. Sarah does much work behind the scenes to help develop the ways we can present what we do – thank you Sarah for all your help.

Young or female Superb Fairy-wrens - obsessing on the car mirror

Comments from birdos please

Danie has sent us photos of a couple of (?young) Superb Fairy-wrens who have become obsessed with the mirror on her car. They are constantly checking themselves out (or is it being outraged by 2 intruders?). We have seen adult males do this and have assumed they are being territorial, but what is happening with these young or female wrens?

Large sponge found by Chris Nicholls on Main Beach Merimbula

Great sponge

Chris Nicholls discovered this sponge a few days ago on Main Beach Merimbula. He thinks it may be a Demospongiae but would like a better identification – can anyone help?
